Getting Ready for Coaching!
The newest cohort of Internal Coaches completed Day 5 of their six-training course on August 22. While days 1-4 covered the Learning Lenses curriculum, Day 5 focused on the role of an Internal Coach. The session, led by ICP Coordinator, Esther Kramer and ECP Coach, Hollis Dannaham, gave participants the chance to examine and practice key skills needed for Internal Coaching such as student observations and debriefing with teachers. The interesting discussions and insightful questions from this group made it clear that they are excited and eager to take on the coach role. The cohort of 12 coaches will have a sixth day of training in November and the opportunity to shadow an experienced coach before beginning as coaches in their schools in January.
